What our guests say about The Kings Arms Hotel

Here are just some of the guest reviews we have received.

"Friendly service and good food"

"We visited The Kings Arms twice in three days for our evening meal. We were a little early on the first visit and each had a pot of tea while we waiting. Staff were friendly and so too were the regular customers we were near to. We ordered starters and mains. The black pudding and haggis tower was delicious, topped with pepper sauce. Equally tasty, was the Moroccan lamb. They also made some of the best chips I've ever tasted. Based on our first visit we couldn't resist returning.

Things were just as good on the second visit, again it was great, friendly service and good food." - April 2016

"Excellent room, excellent meal and a warm welcome"

"Arrived midweek for a two day holiday and an opportunity to meet up with close friends. A relaxed warm welcome at the Kings Arms, an excellant room at a very fair price (breakfast included, the size of which almost prevented the need for lunch). The evening meal of Haggis (a personal favourite) was excellent, and good value. I have stayed before and look forward to another. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the friendly welcome." - February 2016

"Perfect meal"

"Perfect meal - two adults three kids. Got a nice welcome and food hit the mark both for quality and value. We visit this area at least once a year, and its not got a huge range of places to eat so great to find the Kings Arms." - February 2016

"Tempting dishes"

"I decided to enjoy a meal out so opted for the Kings Arms. Staff very friendly and helpful, menu as always, crammed with tempting dishes the special board also has tempting offers. Food first class. Rhona has a good team in here and locals always make people welcome." November 2015.

"Welcome was fantastic"

"I stayed for 7 nights while visiting family. The welcome from Rhona was fantastic and her staff even offered to help us in with our luggage. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel at home and nothing was too much trouble for Rhona's team. Our room, Room 4, was very spacious and spotless, the room was cleaned to a very high standard every day. Free bottled water was supplied along with unlimited tea and coffee. The breakfast was amazing, would highly recommend the full Scottish. There is a huge range of meals available in the restaurant and everything is cooked to perfection. Very reasonable bar and food prices. Free and plentiful parking at the back of the hotel. I would note hesitate in recommending this hotel." - October 2015

"Good hotel, great value for money"

"My friend and I stayed at the Kings Arms Hotel for a couple of nights. We were visiting the area to watch football at Queen of the South and my friend was there to visit his family roots. The rooms are very clean, freshly decorated and are more than adequate for all your needs. The breakfast was really good with an excellent choice. The surrounding countryside is lovely and picturesque and well worth a visit." - May 2009
